Apprenticeships & Training for Electricians

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a great choice for businesses of all shapes and sizes and offer complete flexibility – choose full or part time, or cherry-pick individual elements to fit around your own training programmes. They provide a fantastic opportunity for employers to recruit staff at no additional cost, help them improve productivity and help with skills training that fits their business with as little disruption as possible.

The minimum wage an Apprentice must be paid is £2.73 per hour in the first year, although many companies do pay more.

Apprentices need to be recruited for a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 40, including a day release for training.

The qualification is available to anybody aged 16 and over. 16-18 year olds are 100% funded.
